New Delhi: The United Nations’ (UN) International Migrants Day is annually held on December 18 every Year. It is to recognize the efforts, contributions and rights of migrants worldwide.

On 18 December 1990, the General Assembly had adopted the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families.

The selection committee of the awards, constituted by Migrants Rights Council (Member in Migrant Forum in Asia) has selected five persons for the ‘Pravasi Mithra’ Award – 2015

In recognition of their services for underprivileged and distressed workers at abroad, we wish to honour them by presenting with this prestigious award.

The Awardees are:
